Dr. Carlos Omphroy and Dr. Tyrie Jenkins are nationally recognized for their work in laser refractive surgery. Drs. Omphroy and Jenkins were named VISX star surgeons for 1999, placing them in the top five percent of refractive surgeons in the nation.

Both doctors perform the surgical techniques of PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) and LASIK (Laser Assisted in-situ Keratomileusis) to correct vision. Together they have performed more than 10,000 procedures. Both were certified to train other surgeons in the use of VISX laser, a distinction in Hawaii only held by these two surgeons.
